To start off, I feel like I have to mention the passing of President Gordon B. Hinckley. This is a bittersweet time. I will miss hearing his cheerful and inspiring words. I'm sure he's happy to be where he is, and what a relief it must be for him to know that he has accomplished his earthly mission. The passing of a prophet is always an interesting time in the church. There are many things that can be said will be President Hinckley's legacy. I look forward to seeing the programs and leadership of President Monson in the coming years. Late last night my thoughts turned to those members I know in 台灣 and I realized that all of them were baptized while President Hinckley was prophet. So, I called some of them up. It was a great opportunity to talk to them about the gospel as well as catch up on how things are going.
Well, in other news, Jenny and I haven't been doing a whole lot lately. Jenny has been fighting various sicknesses (none of them the baby kind) all winter, so we've been trying to take it easy. Just when we think that she's over something, it comes back with a vengeance. She has been to the doctor a few times, and she's going back today. Hopefully she'll be able to get better for good.
A few weeks ago we had the day off (MLK Day) so Jenny decided to humor me and we went to the auto show. It was a good time and Jenny even remarked that she was surprised at how much fun she had.
During the same weekend we took a quick little trip up to Bear Lake and stayed at the cabin of Jenny's parents. There was some crazy snow up there (as you can see in the pictures) and we decided to spend some time sledding down the driveway. Good times. I'm not going to lie though, I wish we were in Taiwan right now...
